    Hey,

I have a Hifi here and I'm wondering is it possible to connect up to a laptop and if so, how would one go about it? :D

    thanks

Are there sockets on the rear for a CD/AUX source? (Not turntable/phono)
If there is you need a 3.5mm jack to 2 RCA phono plugs.

Failing that, if it has an FM tuner you could just use an iTrip type device.

no AUX source on the back AFAIK. there is a headphones jack on the front, so I tried a 3.5mm jack to jack but it failed.

If your trying to play audio from your laptop through the HiFi then you can't without an input.
If your trying to take audio from the HiFi into your laptop then connect the headphone socket on the HiFI to the line in (blue) socket on the laptop.

I would also like to connect my laptop to my hifi wirelessly. Does anyone know the cheapest way of doing it? Stuff like itrip isn't great quality isn't it? I don't have bluetooth, so through the home wifi network would be the best?

Apples airport express would be one way. The sound quality would be good.

Some phones allow you to stream to them via DNLA.

    I agree with Cnocbui.

iTrips can be good quality (my 2 Euro one is as good as any broadcast transmitter) but you need to aware of the audio volume or there can be distortion if it's set too loud.
