Hmm.. either I've been massively overpaid the last few years, or things have slid way back :(

    I would've thought 35-40 given all they're asking for?

Hard to say given we don't know the location or company type, but given that it's an employers market right now, I'd say around €32k p.a. would be a decent starting off wage for a Systems Admin role like this, although I would be surprised if it was alot less.

Very basic broad spectrum of knowledge? Kind of desktopish position. Could be anywhere from 22k to 30k depending on experience.

Huh - 45k? I would I have said that is a Junior Systems Admin position with pay at approximately 24k or 21/22k outside of Dublin. Am I missing something? Is this a joke?

Either the job spec is completely inadequate, or the IT "team" will consist of you, the boss's son who's a clueless ape, and the IT manager who spends his entire day surfing the web. In other words, you will be the guy doing everything and getting blamed for everything.

I would put it at 40K in financial industry , (stockbroker\bank\dealing desk etc) outside of that would be 35K....Very surprised to hear its 45K especially in Limerick, my guess is its at most a two man operation... ;-)

For Desktop Support/System Admin roles  It's been the polar opposite in my experience.
