Set your boxes and reminders folks 21:00 tonight.:)
Around the world, a new generation of astronomers are hunting for the most mysterious objects in the universe. Young stars, black holes, even other forms of life.
They have created a dazzling new set of super-telescopes that promise to rewrite the story of the heavens.
This film follows the men and women who are pushing the limits of science and engineering in some of the most extreme environments on earth. But most strikingly of all, no-one really knows what they will find out there.

The telescope on top of the Boeing was mad stuff! Watching this programme gave you a feeling that we are entering a golden age of astronomical discovery, what with all the technological advances of recent times. Was good viewing, cheers!

The Webb space telescope looks awsome, if they do carry on funding it. BUT they will need to ensure they get it right first time as there is no way they can do a repair to it if it is wrong (a la Hubble)

I can hardly wait to see the results from that big baby.
