they got into a rut of wheeling out the same overpriced stuff over and over, often less than 2 weeks between an item's reappearance. There were also alot of people having issues with receiving their items too, not quite on the same scale as ibood, but still pretty bad.

true, the repetition of offers was pretty disappointing.

I bought a bunch of stuff in the early days when the offers were good but the last 6 months or so, I didnt buy a single thing. hopefully they can get back to form

they just added 4 days to the countdown, sums them up perfectly

used them a bit at the start but in the end it was most mostly junk
they were selling and unless it was something pricey then the
surcharge nearly always made it dearer than elsewhere
stopped checking daily about 6 months ago

That's another thing that annoyed me. Staying up til 12am only to be disappointed:( Why can't they have it at 11pm or something.

Boffer's unique selling point was that it was sh*t.

    €200 for a very average netbook, a total non-event

That's disappointing. And it looks exactly the same. Just pallet swapped.

LOL nearly every post is deleted, must be getting some amount of abuse, stopped using them years ago after a BOC was robbed off all it contents and they couldn't give a flying fook.

Just got a very weird email from boffer?!?! Sent from Lauren bounce@newsletter.bigoffers.co.uk
Have they been hacked or something?

    BOFFER LIMITED. INTERNAL EMAIL

    STAFF EYES ONLY

    Attention All Boffer Staff -

We are now entering the final phase of our preparation for our Christmas Sell Off which starts on Sunday at 11.59pm. For the benefit of new staff members this is when Boffer departs from its usual deal-a-day model and sells one product after another, offering a new deal as soon as the previous one sells out.

Since it’s been so long since we had the last Sell off Boffer members will have high expectations for this event. Let’s Endeavour to do our best so they feel disappointed and betrayed.

    * Make sure the first half dozen products in the selloff are half decent that should get the punters hooked in.

    * Customer Service department: all holiday requests for this week and next are approved.

    * Take at least one of our server’s offline, just for a laugh.

    * Go to the landfill and dig up some more stock.

    * Last time, spot checks revealed that approximately 25% of products shipped are broken, incomplete, or excessively dirty. This is unacceptable in the interests of company profitability defective shipments must make up at least 40%.

    * Remind our couriers that there's no need to hurry on these orders. Prompt delivery makes our customers spoiled and argumentative. Let them learn humility and gratitude while they wait.

    * Pretend there is going to be lots of sack of crap direct people to the craps shop website and then put up 3 sacks of crap on Boffer that will teach them!

Maybe they are trying the Glee style advertising .... Glee had a tv advert with one of the characters slating the show and I assume it worked cos there are still people talking about the god awful programme.

Wonder are Boffer trying to copy them
