PayPal Strange Dispute

    I borrowed about a euro from a friend on PayPal a few weeks ago, and a few days ago I logged in to my account to find that there was a dispute. I never disputed nor did he. I sent the money as money owed and sent it as a gift. Also, I don't know if this is relative but my account was limited and I had to change password, security questions etc. Would really appreciate help as I'm clueless to why this happenned.

    No one here can tell you who is disputing your transaction. You'll have to check the details with Paypal for yourself.

    I have emailed PayPal about this. Is there any reprocussions to disputing?

    It might be that paypals 'system' flagged you as a suspicious user, when this happens, you must go through the process of supplying id verification, address verification and photo id, it does happen from time to time, I have been using paypal pretty much since day 1 and im not a suspicious user, but I have had to do this twice, at least they have protection in place!

    The strange thing is they haven't even sent me an email about this, I was just notified my account was limited and that there was one dispute. I have never even had a dispute on eBay so I don't know what the problem is.
