Hello all, recently damaged my knee pretty badly so im at a bit of a loose end regarding exercise. Before the injury I was exercising for at least 1.5 hours a day 6 days a week so im very bored & restless now.
Whats the best routine for someone in my situation? Obviously i can't do proper cardio so what could i replace that with & get the same fat burn?

    What about lifting weights?

I was only 9lbs off a 6 stone weight loss in 5 months & then this happens!!:(

By the way im male & currently weigh about 15.8 stone. Ideally i'd like to be around 14 stone in a few months time. Before christmas anyway. Could take me a good few weeks to get over the knee injury so im a bit anxious to get back to normal.

    Thanks.

I dont know how bad your knee injury is - but my own are pretty bad. Go to a good physio - they'll let you know what you should or shouldn't be doing in the recovery phase.

Fair play with the weight loss! I'd re-iterate what MrO said and listen to what a physio tells you, and make sure you do any corrective exercises they give you! Depending on how bad your knee is, but swimming can be pretty low impact once you don't do breastroke and be gently when pushing off the walls.

How can help in fairness if you yourself do not know the diagnoses. Go to a Physio - any advice we give here could be potential for disaster.
