14-08-2011 9:42pm#1Two time Shuttle Astronaut Brian OConner retired from Nasa Last week.Brian held the post in Washington after retiring from flying as Chief of Safety.Brians Grandfather left Co Kerry for Chicago,where he found work looking after the horses in the Cities Fire department,at night he went to school and rose to fire department Chief of the entire City.!

Had the great pleasure of meeting Brian and his wife and the Hall of fame awards a few years back when he was Inducted.Here with my wife Siobhan when we presented him with Pat falveys book on his own journeys.3
