Apologies if this is posted in the wrong place but wasn't sure where to put it ... I have a lot of hotos I want to load onto a forum but the photos are too big ... I usually load them into Photobucket and then resize them individually but this time I have maybe 50 to do and I'm wondering if theres any way to do it all in one go - on photobucket or otherwise ... please bear in mind that I'm a bit technologically challenged:o

I use a thing on XP called powertoys resizer. Allows you to select a bunch of pictures and collectively resize them. Really easy. That might not help if you don't use XP, though.

I use FormatFactory. Great little program for converting anything into anything els, including what size you'd like them XD

Ah, that sounds exactly what I am looking for but I have Vista (I think :o )

Missed your post Telchak as I was replying - going to check that out now - is it fairly easy to use?

Pixresizer is good, but tends to batter the detail out of a photo.

LightImageResizer is excellent (and what I'm currently using) but it's a little slower than Pixresizer (but tends to hold onto the quality).

LIR is handy cose you can specify the pixel width/height you want, whether you want it to overwrite the original files or create copies, etc. and it's fairly straight forward (though they make you wait a few seconds at the start to try and get you to buy the pro version, i think it's a 10 second wait or something, but it goes down quick enough)

LR3 does it, and so does Picasa! :) (In Picasa, just put them all into a folder, import them go to file --> Export and press resize and say to what size!

Thanks a million for everyones help!! Haven't tried it in Picasa yet but definately will once I get it downloaded again (guy doing PC cleanup last time deleted my picasa and I've still to get around to sorting it out again).

Anyways, I have uploaded LightImageResizer and its great so far - resizes them sooo quickly!! Only thing I can't figure out now is I need to post the pics on to a forum but I can't find where to get the link off each picture to post ... can anyone guide me through it please??

There is an option at the end of that dialog asking where do you want to put them.
I changed it to ./completed so it creates a new folder in the directory i clicked on the file and puts the new images in there

Thanks for that samhail - I didn't know how to create a new location for them .. I can actually find them ok but what I can't seem to figure out is how to copy the picture onto a forum .. with photobucket theres a html link (I think thats what it is) and you just copy and paste it but I can't see whaere / how to find one here:o

    Ah my mistake :)
Where did you upload them to ? upload them to photobucket.
You want a URL that usually finishs with the name of the picture itself.

There is BB code (BB Code link at the bottom left of the page usually) that will allow you to put them actually onto forums

    Something like:
    [ img ]http://www...[ /img ]
    (without the spaces)

    Everyone learns :)
you need to upload them up online to share them
(there is a more technical way if your computer is on the internet all the time with the same IP address... and you running a webserver for the world to acces.... but i think might be best just to use photobucket or one of those :))

Thanks a million! I was hoping there would be a way of doing it straight (kind of like when you load a pic from PC onto adverts.ie) but the forum I want to post on doesn't have any facility like that ... will do it on photobucket so.
    Thanks a mill!!!

I use the Image Processor in Photoshop.

In CS5 you find it at File>Scripts>Image Processor

    Works really well.
