    Hi

I am thinking of going on a two week holiday in Cancun in mid September. I've seen it been mentioned that this is hurricane season in Mexico.

What I'm wondering is what is the weather normally like during September in Cancun. Can I expect it to rain days on end or does it be dry most of the month?

    Any advise in appreciated. :)

I was in Mexico, last September. It is more inclined to rain at that time of year, and when it rains there it really rains!
Out of 14 days we probably had 4 rain days, although the weather was cloudy for most of the holiday. Temperatures remain high, so it gets really humid.
Still had a great holiday, despite the rain.

You could be very lucky and get 14 days of sun. I would doubt it tho!
I'm heading to Tenerife this year instead!

I was there in september 2 years ago.
We saw some monster rain/Thunder storms but always at night and maybe only on 3 or 4 nights.
Every single day was wall to wall sunshine.
Remember it is a tropical climate mostly.

The biggest problem we had were mosquitoes but we were down around Riviera maya about 20 miles south of Cancun.

We went to Dominican Republic last September during hurricane season. It was fine. There was definitely rain, but generally it was for like half an hour a day. It was very heavy but soon after it had all dried off again. It never got in our way, it seemed to be in the early evening or night mainly. It was hot and sunny during the day. I wouldn't let it get in your way.
