I guess you're not really going to know until the offers come out but is there anyone in my situation?
Im from Ireland but moved to London last September for college and ended up hating the course I was doing and not sure about London in general. So I applied for this course through advanced entry and got it.

Still not sure if I'm going to take it or stay in London, as I dont really know much about Dublin or DCU. I was never interested in the CAO.

So anyone hoping that they got it want to tell me what they're looking forward to?

Are you a mature student or a foreign exchange student?

I think he's progressing from another course.

I'm a mature student and I got accepted. I'm only 23 though so hopefully you young'uns won't be too hard on me, with your twitters and your GameBoys. :p

Why, can I ask, did you end up hating London? I've just finished the degree you are all about to embark on in DCU and a handful of my class cannot get to London fast enough!

You're gonna really enjoy it guys if you put a lot into it. Do a lot of extra curricular and get involved with the student-run media! You learn so much more outside the classroom, believe me!

With 70 points over, and a good English grade . . . Is it looking likely?

In theory moving to London sounds amazing, and it is an amazing city, but I came over here on my own after moving from a small town and in that situation its really hard to adjust. It's a tough city to make your own and its not a very homely city, especially if you have no connections here. Adding to that the fact that I hated my course and the people in my year didnt really gel together that well, it just hasnt lived up to my expectations.

I want to experience life in a smaller city thats less stressful and easier to live in. Id like to come back to London once I graduate, be abit older and have qualifications etc.

not sure how to PM on here, but what's your situation with accomodation? Im guessing that the student halls are full now? Dont think I want to live that far out from the city anyway. have you got anyone else lined to for house sharing? :)

I think we should just go ahead and vote Aoife as class rep before the course even starts!

Seconded :) I wouldn't let ye down lads. When I get numbers I can get a quote for em and we can have a bit of banter about the slogan we'll put on the back :)
