Up to 30 injured in overturned bus

A number of people have been hurt when a bus toppled over close to Belfast's Central Station.

Around 30 people were injured when the double-decker vehicle which was travelling from Ballybeen to Belfast overturned in the citybound lane of the Albertbridge Road shortly after 2pm.

Ambulance service spokesman, John McPoland was at the scene.
"The vast majority of those on the bus are being taken to hospital by ambulance," said John.
"Thankfully no one is seriously hurt; a lot of people are walking wounded.
"Probably the driver is the most seriously injured and he's been taken to the Royal Victoria Hospital, but it's not expected his injuries are life-threatening."
No other vehicle was involved in the incident and a Translink spokesperson said: "an investigation is underway into what happened".
The Albertbridge Road and Oxford Street remain closed.

    Hope everyone is ok.

I saw a truck hit into a the side of a Dublin Bus a few weeks ago. I believe one of the first priorities is to not allow anyone else onto the bus in case randomers claim compensation.

CCTV seems to have brought a stop to that kind of practice
