If you're going as far as the Maestro Virtuoso, I would suggest popping the extra 50 or so and stepping up to the Baratza Virtuoso Preciso instead. Much more suitable for espresso, the microprofiling really helps nailing down your grind

My opinion is somewhat compromised, but I do think - as well as the vast majority in the professional coffee industry - that the Baratza grinders really are the way to go for home use.

Some unbiased & very enlightening (albeit technical) grinder info can be found here - courtesy of REACTOR.

Unfortunately our website currently down (as we are just about to go live with a spankin' new one). If you are looking for prices, please feel free to PM me.

That said, the Maestro Plus is not suitable if your primary use is espresso. But the Virtuoso or Preciso should be up to the job. It really is up to you whether you feel you can justify the extra €150 for the Preciso. PM me if you need any further help or info...

Mark Prince (Coffeegeek) gives the Preciso an incredibly good review, see http://coffeegeek.com/proreviews/quickshot/baratzavirtuosopreciso/details
