just sky sports one on upc

    hi guys i was wondering if anyone had just got sky sports one on upc is it a thing they will do i know sky will. i was on to someone last week and they said they would do it for 20 but then rang back to get them to switch it on an they said they dont do such a thing just wondering if anyone heard of this /

    Sky offer that - you can either get SS1 or 2 or get both together and get 3&4 'free' but AFIK UPC don't.
    When I was unfortunate enough to be with UPC last year I got Sky Sports for the darts over Christmas but they defo didn't offer just one SS channel on it's own. They did however offer a €10 downgrade fee when I cancelled it in January......

    It was certainly allowed on Cablelink during the 1990s - you could get either Sky Sports 1 or Sky Sports 3 and you got Sky Sports 2 as a bonus channel. Not sure when things changed though.

    Upc do offer this, and you won't get charged the downgrade fee for going from full sports to just the two channells.

    If you are downgrading from the full Sky Sports package(ie 1-2-3-4) - the agent can then downgrade you to either Sky Sports 1 OR Sky Sports 2 at a cost of €20 per month - unfortunately you just cannot ring up and get Sky Sports 1 on its own if you are not subscribed already....
