    Hi

I was looking up the carzone site and for the prices of loads of cars it said POA, what does this mean?

I have to drive over an hour to work and want to change to a desiel car,
I am wondering what would be recommended in the price range of about 10,000.

    Advice greatly appericated.

    Thank U
    M

Poa means Price on Asking. I hate garages or ads that do that. I want to know how much it costs!!

I don't understand it myself, unless you're looking for a very specific make, model and spec in a car, I imagine a lot of people would be like me and just ignore these ads because I just assume it means a high price.

In some cases you'll call and ask them and they won't tell you the price until you come to see the car.

Or they'll give you a price and then later give you an excuse for raising it and you won't have a printout of the ad with the original price.

Or maybe I'm just being cynical.

your budget is 10k is it? is that with a trade in or cash? what size car are you thinking? saloon/hatch etc. what will be your annual mileage roughly?

I would be doing approx 900km per week

    a saloon type I think, a 1.4 or 1.6

I do have a 06 focus to trade in (petrol) but the mileage would be about 130km. Its in good condition though.

so your probably talking 8k ish for your own I'd imagine and 2k on top of it?

how about a focus diesel? a corolla d4d engine, or an auris d4d engine would be good on diesel for you, possibly a 1.3 cdti astra either.

the only cars that should have POAs are marques like Porsche, Ferrari etc.

    common in the uk.

any run of the mill cars with POA I would give them a PPO.

    +1

Anytime I've ever rang one it's been a laughable price.
