I heard one sad, solitary firework go off earlier. Bit weird really.

Actually now that I think about it, it was probably a gunshot, this is Neilstown after all...

I thought rioting had broken out(it is clondalkin after all). Dissapointed, tbh. Unless they are aiming them at you, just watch and go-"oh, look, pretty lights........"

To be honest its too early for fireworks. What you heard is someone not getting their no good keister off someones property and their guts pumped full o'lead

Way to early in the year for fireworks, it's probably the US carpet bombing, go back to sleep, nothing to see here.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 322 ✭✭noelpat

Early yea but if kids have money and they can get fireworks they probably will.

The London riots & looting have started to spread across the waters over to Ireland.

I was watching the news earlier & there was a report that a man from Cavan had broken into a fiver.

there's a big difference between the two

Clondalkin? Crap. I had a fiver a piece on Ballymun, Finglas and Tallaght being the ones to vent their inner alienation, disenfranchisement, social exclusion blah blah freaking blah first.

When I lived in Artane the local scum used to put fireworks in coke cans and roll them under cars in Artaine Castle shopping centre.

Until one lad lost a few fingers when it went off prematurely. Sharp aluminium would slice through flesh.

Maybe I'm an awful person but I wasn't a bit sad at all and hoped his friends saw it all

I have a chorus of birds, sirens and deafening lonliness.

Probably someones birthday, haven't heard any in my estate yet(up beside Cherrywood)and the local gougers up here usually have banger fights with each other, lad a few doors down lost the tip of his baby finger last year.

Usually starts up at the end of September.

In Ranelagh myself. The only noise I ever hear is of gold sovereigns being counted and the clink of very expensive champagne glasses.

Oh and Nell McCafferty pleasuring herself.

Had some go off around this area last week and the week before (city centre, close enough to Thomas St.)...they're getting in the practice a little earlier this time around!

It would never occur to me to ring 112. Why are there 2 different numbers anyway?

Because someone in Europe asked themselves why was there 27* different numbers ?

    * Give or take

But there still is 27 different numbers, there's just an extra one too.

Yes but since the EU is based on the idea of free movement it would be a good idea to have the same numbers everywhere.

Only thing is national agencies/media are still promoting the old numbers which means we are in for another pointlessly long drawn out transition like the (still ongoing) process of changing from imperial to metric :(
