    Lads,
I am goin unreg for this one.

I am really interested in one of my really good friends sisters and i know its kind of out of bounds but she is single so i am in limbo.

I was out last week with my friend and she was there and we got on really well, we didnt kiss or anything but there was definitely a connection.

I dont want to damage the friendship i have with my mate because he might see it differently and not fancy the idea.

The other problem is that we dont live close to each other so i was just wondering, is it worth the hassle at all.

Should i try get her mobile number from my mate?
How do i ask her out on a date without coming across weird seen as we live so far away from each other?

Anyone have any suggestions on how i should approach this?

Are you interested in a relationship with her or a fling? I would not recommend a fling but then if she lives so far away how easy would it be to start up a relationship. I think I would leave it...

I would not risk the friendship of my mate just for a fling with his sister to be honest. Common sense says to leave it but she id definitely the type of person i go for both in looks and personality. The distance thing is a massive stumbling block though and its exactly that whats holding me back from taking the risk.

Dont know what to do :(

go for it. you mate can't object - surely one of his godo mates is good enough for his sister.
once you are above board and it's not a fling - or in other words your intentions are honourable - sounds stupid but some guys are like that with their sisters.

Don't do the fling thing - I;ve had two friends fall out over the casual relationship of 1 with the others sister

If it's an actual relationship, then go for it. Your mate may be slightly annoyed, but will get over it.

If you're just gonna use her for some fun, odds are he won't be willing to forgive and forget that.

The only other issue i have is that i dont actually have her mobile number and she lives the other side of the country. I could facebook her privately but it may seem a bit odd
Should i ask her brother for her number, at least then it will be out in the open and up to him to give me the number.

I wont bang into her again i reckon now until i call over to his place again which wont be for another few months at least.

What way would you try contact her .... through facebook, mobile, or through her brother ?

You may be able to get her phone number on her facebook profile. I think you should defo go for it. I wont contact her through her brother. If you think there was a connection go for it!! Get her number!

    guy code, that is all!

if its a really good mate i wouldnt be chancing it at all! there are alot of ifs, buts or maybes when it comes to these things, but personally, best mats sisters and exs are a no go! or at least its been that way for me and all my pals. still we remain solid because of this.

    choose wisely OP

Ask the mate if he'd mind giving you her phone number. Quick way of finding out how he feels about it. I've done the dating a friends sister thing before and tbh, once you're going to treat her well, there shouldn't be a problem.

I think you should tell your mate that you like his sister and ask how he feels about you getting in touch with her. If hes upset then let it go, if hes ok then ask for her number.

Have you a sister? How would you feel if the situation was reversed?
