Almost every laptop, to date, will be equipped with a mini HDMI port. One thing to factor is that most HPs, Compaqs and MacBook Pros has a graphic card issue where it overheats causing lines on screen or sometime no display. Few Dells are great but they are heavy. Forget about Advent has parts are hard to come by.

I'm an Apple guy but others will comment.

i reckon you should get yourself a toshiba laptop build quality is good and fairly reasonable price wise
