World Nomads?

Has anyone ever booked insurance through them?

I have been looking over my options and most of the companies based out of Ireland wont cover me as you have to be in the country for 3 months before you leave on your trip but im only going home for 2 weeks before leaving again so World Nomads seem to be my best bet!

A major issue is that theyre expensive and they wont cover you if you go to a country that has any kind of travel warning, that means that I wont be covered in Ecuador and Colombia which will be about two months of my time in S. America.

Im starting to question the point in getting insurance at all...

Myself and my Bf got our insurance through them. They were the only ones that would cover us as we weren't starting our travels from Ireland. I'd imagine that if they won't cover you for ecuador and colombia then most others won't either!

I'd def recommend getting insurance, while we were lucky two out of our last four friends that went travelling ended up in hospital at one point and a lad from close to were im from got hit by a car while travelling, had no insurance and ended up costing 30,000 plus for hospital and getting him home. You could take the risk but if anything went wrong then your up
    sh!t creek.

We had insurance with them. Didn't have to claim for them but they seem to cover a lot. I don't think a lot of insurance companies cover countries with warnings.

Defo should get travel insurance. Case in the paper last year or a girl who's parents had to raise over 100k to get her home cause when she renewed her travel insurance it didn't cover her cause she hadn't been home the required time.
