Ok my mother has been diagnosed with MS and as a result I will need to get my full licence so I can drop her off and collect her from wherever she needs to go.

Just wondering would I have grounds to have my test brought forward similar to how if a full licence is needed for a job an employer can write a letter and have the employee's test fast tracked?

I'm not sure about that, but you can ring up after booking online and say that you'd be willing to accept a cancellation test. This means that if somebody cancels, that slot will be given to you, but it could be at shorter notice than normal, and could be in a test centre near you, as opposed to your nearest one.

    Quick tests

We know that a person may need to take a test urgently. We can usually facilitate this and it helps if you are available for a test appointment.

We often have slots that have been cancelled that are available for a person that can take a test with notice from a few hours to a few days.

If this is suitable for you, please note on your application that you are available for short notice cancellation
