Right short background I was 17stone 18months back am now 13.5 after a lot of hard work, I have recently started a job where Im up at 4am in the morning and have very little time to do any work outs anymore and I have hit a wall with the weight loss, apart from pumping a few dumbells out at night.

Anyway Im wondering could anyone recommend a shake I could have in the morning that would set me up for the day and would maybe help with the weight loss and muscle when I work out

I suggest a casein shake (ON do a nice one), because casein is a slow digesting protein which will keep you feeling full for longer.

If you go for whey, there are lots of choices and there isn't a huge difference between them, just pick one with around 80% protein. Avoid anything with the word Mass or Gain or Meal in the title, they'll be at least half sugar.

Wouldn't be my first choice, mostly because there are better tasting, and cheaper, wheys out there.

I live in Swords, so I often buy in Elite Nutrition in the Main Street. If I'm on the Southside, I go to Universal Nutrition in Dun Laoghaire. In town, I go to the Supplement shop in the Moore Street Mall, or the supplement shop in Capel Street or Camden Street.

That would do it, and if it was on a half price sale, I might get some, but for that money, there are better tasting and more effective ones around.

    Don't buy that.

Get something decent like Optimum Nutrition 100% Whey Gold Standard. It would be around €10 cheaper for the same amount and be much nicer (it wins bodybuilding.com awards every year).

I'd suggest fsv.ie, can get supplements much cheaper there than in the shops they have ON casein as well as a whole range of other stuff you'll have lots of choice, they normally have a fairly decent description of what the product does as well.
