Looking for large black fabric similar to eyeglass cleaning cloths from opticians

    Hi all,
I need to create a display for delicate glass/crystal/silver objects and need to get a cloth to place them on.
The cloth needs to be black.
I have an old black chamois type eye glass cloth from an opticians which would be ideal, but it's way too small.
I need a piece about 20inches square or bigger.

Would anyone know a fabric that would be similar to this? (needs to be soft to touch etc... to prevent scratching of the display objects)

    Really appreciate the help

    Thanks,
    Misterm

I don't know where you're located, but take a look in any fabric shop such as Hickey's in Dublin (Henry Street), or Hobby/Crafts shops and you're sure to find something suitable.

Failing that, drop into your local charity shop and I'd bet you'd come across a black skirt or dress for 3 or 4 euro that you could cut to the size for your display. (Check the lining too, often soft and silky.)

    Good luck!
