Use the promo codes below, ends the 12th August

    Milan - METEORMLN30
    Prague - METEORCR30
    Madrid - METEORMADR30
    Rome - ROMAMETEOR30
    Munich - METEORMUN30

Travel between the 1st of October and the 24th of March.

Don't think you need to be a meteor customer just tick the promo code box when searching for flights on the Aer Lingus website and put in the matching code.

    Link for booking
    http://www.aerlingus.com/home/index.jsp?campid=meteor24_aug2011/

Any advice on which city to go to at the end of October much appreciated:)

guaranteed the prices for these routes have already been increased, so that they're in reality the same price or more expensive

Return Flight to Prague on the October bank holiday is €127.50, don't think that's to bad.

As for what city would be best to visit, either Rome or Madrid at that time of year, lovely

As it's only off the fare and not the taxes it's actually more like a 15% discount

Do you not think that goes without saying? Even with free flights you pay the taxes.

did I do something wrong? It only gave me 15% off

That isn't necessarily true. Ryanair often don't charge taxes on some routes at certain times. When Ryanair used to do 1cent flights they never charged any taxes; they were literally 1 cent flights if you had a visa electron card.

Just checked flights out to Madrid for Valentines Day next year, leaving 13th Feb, returning 15th Feb.

Original price was 90Euro, with discount it was 80.72.

So balls to that, 30% off isn't even 10% in reality

I'd say try Rome, a beautiful city. I also liked Madrid too. Prague is lovely, though can get cold. Check the average temperatures before you go. I'd still say go for Rome, I'd love to go back there.

I just priced a flight to Rome & it works out at €93.03 (including €12 handling fee). That's not too bad, though I'll have a look at Ryanair too, just to price it.

Booked Rome today for two nights mid November. Madrid and Rome is €30 off, not 30% off. Overall, saved about €40 over Ryanair, plus ill be flying into Rome which is handier.

Bollocks. Ryanair give discounted and free flights including discounting or covering the tax charges so the price the customer pays for the flight is actually cheap/free.

Low cost flights out there would be easy enough to get, but finding a cheap place to stay, now there's your problem!

Hi folks. A tip for anyone booking a flight to Rome!

Aerlingus fly into Rome Fiumicino airport. Ryanair fly into Rome Ciampino.

I've flown into Rome multiple times and used both airports and despite being the smaller 'cheapy' ryanair airport, Ciampino is actaully much much more convienient for travel into Rome city. It is much smaller than Fiumicino and generally a much more pleasant experience.

    Just a heads up :)

Where do you put in the code? i tried it in the vouchers section but you need a pin?

  • Hosted Moderators Posts: 6,817 ✭✭✭jenizzle

When you are searching for flights (selecting To/From and date etc), you tick the 'promo code' box and put in the code. This is located underneath the Flexibility box, to the right of the Adults, Child and Infant boxes.
