Person not paying up on EBay, how long before I can relist?

I placed an item on EBay earlier on in the week and sent a reminder, the person hasn't bothered to get back to me or pay up.

How long can I go before I can re list the Item?

I am not too bothered about the sale anyway as I could possibly get more on the item if I sold it elsewhere.

    Cheers.

send him a message to ask him, making sure to send a copy of it to your email address for reference.
if no answer, send a 2nd one a couple of days later.
and then a 3rd giving a date and time to reply by or else you're going to relist.

I thought that generally when you listed an item you specified when payment had to be received by?
I generally give people a week - if there's no contact by then I'd re-list.

I have sent him a note request that I want to re list the item if he is not interested.

You should also report him to ebay.
He entered a legally binding agreement when he bought your item.

    Ebay dont like this happening

They make only token efforts to stop it happening tbh.

Rtdh, when did the item sell?

I'd give the buyer 7 days to close the deal but relisting without their agreement to cancel can prove problematic.

Go into your account and change your preferences so that if an item sells and is not paid for, an unpaid dispute is automatically opened by ebay - you wont have to do anything. The buyer is told that if they dont pay they will get an unpaid item strike, and you will get your fees back, you dont have to wait to relist, you can go ahead at any time.

you can relist as soon as you want if your sure the buyer is not going to buy the item start a dispute to get your fees and relist straight away
