Hi, just a quick question on this, if I am employed full-time and want to set up my own company is this allowed or can you not be employed and own your own company as well ?

It depends on what your contract of employment says. If it's non-conflicting and won't affect your current role in any way then talk to your boss.

The boss thing is not an issue and as it would be something I can work with in my own time it would not have any effect on my current role.

I was thinking more along the lines of tax implications and things like that.

    It's fine to be both.

I set up my own company while in full employment, as long as you pay the taxes due you are fine to do both....
