Noisy fan after automatic updates

Well I wrote a thread about my fan ages ago but I've figured out now what triggers it.
Every time I install automatic updates my fan goes crazy when I turn the laptop back on.
(Don't even ask how i figured this out:P) but when I restart the laptop, then put it on hibernate for a couple of minutes the fan goes back to normal the next time I'm using it.
    It's getting really annoying
The laptop is Acer aspire 5736z, windows 7 64 bit

Any ideas what might be causing it?

It's normal for fans to run high during Windows updates.

Power management doesnt kick in until you get to Windows, so during bootup everything (CPU, GPU, etc) is running at full speed and generating tonnes of heat. The fans come on full whack to keep it from overheating.

Some updates only install during the bootup process, so they can prolong that phase, and thus increase the temperature build-up.

The fans will slow down once the temperature cools down to a preset limit.

Also note that you should regularly clean any dust out of the vents and fans as part of normal laptop maintenance. If the cooling system is all clogged up with dust then all of the above will be much worse than normal.

Common issue. If your laptop is out of warranty, disassemble it and under the GPU and CPU, apply thermal compound.

It's not just when it's starting up,
It will keep going for days if i don't reboot it again :(
The laptops still in warranty till November

check out cpu usage with task manager or proc explorer or similar to see what is using the cpu in case it needs cooling because it's busy

ensure correct airflow - vacuum the fans too in case dusty

it's summer , how warm is the room - dumb question but ...

worth doing a malware scan on the off chance

also see if safe mode is any better ( though fan control may be off )

check for BIOS updates that refer to fan noise or cooling issues
