Hi I am a first year and doing community and youth. I would love to get involved in the SVP society. I am commuting and wondering what kind of times would I need to be involved? And how do I get involved? Thanks

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 6 Maynooth Students SVP

    Hi there,

Maynooth Students' SVP - St. Vincent de Paul Society is commuter friendly and in fact a lot of our members are commuters. We have a whole range of activities every week and events throughout the year and there is something to suit everyone and every type of student. You choose what to get involved with. We are still planning our weekly activities but they include local nursing home visits and soup runs to Dublin city. You can get involved by signing up to our society on Clubs and Societies Fairs day on Wednesday 28th of September at NUIM Sports hall. Our society is very friendly, easy going, relaxed and you will meet like minded people and not only have great craic but learn a lot too. One of our highlights of the year is the free Intervarsity trip in November with other SVP college Conferences to the nearby Kerdiffstown for a weekend of great craic and a lineup of great events including well known guest speakers from the non profit, community and youth sectors.

    See you Soon.
