Alrite folks how do - have sold my 320bmw as I'm off to oz but in the meantime will need something to get me around, want to buy a small van for under a grand, been thinking about a 99/00 306 or a megane.

Anyone got anything to say or warn about those 2, or recommend something else?

I'm leaning towards the megane as it has a bigger boot.

Make sure you check that your insurance will cover you to drive a commercial and also check that you will be able to tax it commercially. Friend of mine went to tax his and was asked for a tax certificate to say that he was self employed. Most of those vans are good , just get a clean one without a huge amount on the clock. Loads for sale.;)

Just off the phone with nononsense as I just thought of the insurance thing myself - won't insure.

At that budget you're best to forget about make & model and focus on condition.

You have to take out a new commercial insurance policy
