Teaching in Middle East

Right, I'm posting this for a friend -
He is recently qualified primary school teacher, his wife works in the medical field and they have one child. They are considering looking into working in the middle east for a year under the impression that this may help them save some money. When he did a search online, the work available didn't seem to be well paid but they still thought that if they could live off one of their salaries maybe they could save the other one.
    - has anyone personal experience of teaching in middle east?
    - Are they naive in thinking that they can get well paid jobs there and save between €30-€50k in one year between them?

    Yes (at third level)

    and yes.

Teachers are not overly well paid in the Middle East and I would be extremely surprised if they could save anywhere near that in a year.
