There's the rub, you could be waiting till Christmas to get your hands on a 5 or get it in the first week. A bird in the hand...?

Sure see how things are come September and make a decision bed on what's announced. Giving the fact of how close it would be, I'd hang on myself. Getting a hold of one when theY finally drop would also be a factor as their is always shortages for a good few weeks

    I'm in a similar quandary.

I'm now due a gold upgrade from O2 but I don't know what to do with the iPhone 5 on its way. I'm slightly peeved that O2 are still looking for €300 to upgrade which would also result in me signing a new 18 month contract.

I would be tempted to sell my current 3GS and move to another network to get an iPhone 4 without the €300 outlay.

    Any thoughts guys?

I'd be gone to Three if I were you.

New iPhone in late September/October, would be silly to upgrade now when a new phone is coming out in 2 months.

Weren't O2 very, very slow to allow upgrades on the iPhone last time?

The sooner that next iPhone comes out the better, then we can start loads of the even nexter-er generation "will I/wont I/what should I do" threads
