Hi everyone I'd REALLY appreciate some advice here...

My bf have been together for 1 year, 8 months. He is going to college for the next college year as part of his course while I will be remaining in the college we both went to until now. we are also from the same home town. We are in the same group of friends both at home and college and were best friends before we got together. I love him so much, I'd never do ld for anyone other than him and I know he feels the same.

Its just I know that as Im so used to seeing him every single day for hours and hours at college and at least every second day at home I know I will find it soooo hard to adjust to the change. We've agreed we want to talk every day but Im wondering what is reasonable to expect? He'll be going out and enjoying himself and thats fine but I hope he doesnt stop having time for me...In fact if our contact got reduced to a text or two a day and an occassional 10 min skype i dont think i could handle the relationship id prob start taking it out on him and of course this wouldnt be fair....

I just want it to work but its going to be the hardest year of my life :(

HOW do you make it work???>>

can't predict how it will go for you of course OP, but i can say that in my experience it has worked out very well. we talk virtually all day, exchanging texts as often as we can. we spend at least two hours per day on skype or at least chatting on the weekend.

i'm not sure that it suits everyone but it can be done.

I know how you feel. I'm in the same position myself and my GF has another 3 years of college left :(

The truth is it is going to be hard. Chances are, contact between the two of you will be a lot less than you would like but there's nothing you can do about that. You need to be able to keep yourself busy and not overanalyse what he does and who he's with.

There is no doubt it will test the relationship, but maybe you will gain some maturity from the situation. Most importantly, when you do see him, make sure that you have a good time.
