I just wanted to highlight to any holiday home owners in Ireland that a company called "Dream Holiday Rental" (dreamholidayrental.co.uk) are contacting home owners claiming they can let their homes with short & long term lets during the off season. It is a fraud and they will expose any card details you give to them to other companies and you will lose money.

The claim to have an affiliation the the NHS and a program they call NHS 24/7. I was contacted by Dream Holiday Rental and I then contacted NHS myself.

We were caught by this last year, supposedly had them advertise our home,just we luckily paid by pay-pal,complete hoax!

Thanks for the heads up on dream holiday rental. they have contacted me in the last week and are very persistant and I was tempted to join.

I am only going on what I saw on the forum and the fact that my sister and her husband who work for the NHS have not heard of this scheme.

I have just been contacted by these people, their website is very convincing, I'm just glad I googled them first, they seem like smooth operators. Do not give them your money. Here is a link to other peoples woes:

Steer clear, they dont give a trial period for a very good reason, they are scammers.

i sometimes feel i get more enquiries from ramdon holiday rental sites than potential holiday makers!
i think i've seen all the scams going, earlier this year a couple contacted me for a booking. they sent me a postal cheque (looked legit) for 1200euros. then a follow up email saying that their employer overpaid me for accommodation and flights and could i return 800euros which was the flight portion. i was very wary and asked my bank was the cheque real...turns out it wasn't, but i could have been out of pocket by 800euros if I returned the money!
