New internal Hard Drive

    I have a three year old black Macbook and I'm looking to install a new internal hard drive, really need the extra disc space.

    I'm looking at these two;

    http://www.macupgrades.co.uk/store/product_info.php?products_id=657

    http://www.macupgrades.co.uk/store/product_info.php?products_id=634

    A few questions;

    1. Will there be much of an increase in noise, heat and vibrations stepping up to a 7200rpm HD? I can find nothing but conflicting stories on various Mac forums.

    2. The second option is a hybrid SSD. What are the advantages/disadvantages of this over the first option. My main requirement is disc space for movies, tv, music etc.

    3. Installation seems to be very straight forward. Once I have the new HD in the machine do I just need to run the start up disc and install from a previous backup?

    An input would be much appreciated:)

    Better off going to the Mac forum, this one is for iPod, iPad iPhone etc.

    Yup, just after realising I posted in the wrong forum.

    Would be obliged if a Mod could move it.
