Take That music video before Super 8 in Cineworld

Dunno if this is the right place for it, but I went to see Super 8 in Cineworld last night and they showed an entire music video for some take that song featured in the three musketeers. This is in addition to the usual length ads and coke and cineworld branding bits. It's a pity because I like going to the cinema, and Cineworld in particular, but this sort of thing would put me off. Anyone else feel like this is going a bit too far?

I notice that the amount of ads being shown in the cinema these days seem to have multiplied.

It's as if advertisers realised that it's one of the only places that people are forced to watch adverts.

Ads on the telly, turn them off, ads on the internet, adblocker plus, ads on internet tv, turn off sound and head to new tab.

Had to sit through about 15 adverts before my screening of Super 8, although that wasn't in cineworld.

I used to go in a bit late to skip the ads but now most showings (in cineworld anyway) are unassigned seating so you risk getting a crap seat if you try it. Hmmm I wonder if that's the reason for doing it...

Would think the cinemas are all the more willing to take the money from advertisers while they can get it.

Would think that if this was brought up, we would get the usual celtic tiger answers....

"We have to show so many ads in order to keep the prices down."

Nowadays if a movie is scheduled for 8:20pm you can realistically walk in at 8:45pm catch the last trailer and another 2 adverts, one being the lobby and still sit down and relax for the start!

The worst one over here are the Orange "funny" adverts where they ruin movies with phones! Same one for months at a time, pain in the whole!

I couldn't believe that Take That video. There really should have been some sort of warning or they could've played it at the very start before the ads even started.

I remember they cut the ads and trailers before a film down to 15 minutes because it was getting rediculous. Seems there's no limit anymore as to how long they can keep people waiting. Hangover 2 was the worst. 25 minutes before the film started!!
