Does anybody know where you can get these in Dublin. Used to be able to get them in the soccer shop but that's long gone. I can order in from England but I'd rather get here if I can.

Or secondly If you use a boot you think might be as good suggest away. The main reason I use the TT is well cushioned heal so it has to have that.

I only gave away a new pair of these last week, bought them online, were cutting into my ankle even trying to break them in!

If you had posted this up last week and you were a size 10 you could have had them for nothing!

Probably hijacking the thread a little but maybe someone can give suggestions to astro boots that don’t cut the heals off you. Last two pair I had were adidas predator and some sort of Umbro pair and they both tore my heals to shreds for the first two weeks.

I got these in JJB in the Square about a month ago for 15 euro, have to heartily recommend. Was always loyal to adidas astro runners but these are very comfortable and I didn't even need to break them in, they were that comfotable from the first wear!:D

A few of the lads I play with have started wearing these...might be worth a try. Would you say the heal had a bit of cushion on it?

I'm picky about my runners but these adidas ones are great, nice and comfy!

Pity about the Puma ones, are you in Dublin?

Yeah I'm D15 area. I'm picky myself, I've been wearing the TT a few years now and got use to them, but I'm open to trying something new.

I will say those adidas were tough to get in size 10 but the blue/luminous are new in stock so they may have them still. Got them in Lifestyle on Henry St, I'd defo recommend them

The Nike Tiempo's are great, nice and comfortable and dont seem to fall apart as easily as some of the others i've had, defo worth looking at them.

cheap from pro direct online, €24 without P+P, normally order 2 pair myself at a time to save a bit on shipping

Another one for the tiempos. Had a few different versions over the years and they've all served me well. Recently thought I'd give the Total90s a try and already regretting it, they just don't feel as a stable.

Puma Kings are nice boots but they seem to have a have a slightly narrower cut, which is why they are not for everyone. I've always wanted a pair but never been able to find ones that suited me.

    Fine shoe,use them myself.

I was in a sports shop last week and I was chatting to one of the sales staff whom I know fairly well.
I commented to him that the Adidas shoes were a small fit nowadays ,much narrower than they used to be.
He agreed and told me that the latest craze is people buying football boots 2 sizes smaller than normal and wearing an extra pair of socks for a tight fit.
He said it was to get more power in their shot .

I thought this was nuts to be honest but it seems Robbie Fowler used to wear boots a size and a half smaller than normal and wear an extra pair of socks.
Saw him on Lfc lately and he showed his feet which are deformed from the practice.
    Crazy.

The Tempos look as if they have a hard heal....I dunno if my knees would be able for that..I'll have a look at them and the Adi5
