My good old reliabe Remmington hairdryer is about to die and I need to replace it. It's over 10 years old and has been a good hairdryer. I've been looking online and see mention of two types of hairdryers to choose between, AC and DC. Can anyone tell me if there is a benefit of choosing one over the other? The AC ones seem to be more expensive, but I can't see why. The hairdryer specifications, such as speed settings, watts, cord length all seem the same. So, why are AC hairdryers more expensive and should I invest in one? I have to get this by Wednesday at the latest, or face a day in work on Thursday with manky hair!!
