    Hey Guys and Girls,
I'm pretty sure my stories are gonna be pretty tame in comparrision but am interested in hearing horror stories of your shared house days? So here are my limited experiences:

A housemate who doesn't realise that he lives in a shared house, eg inviting his family from abroad to live on our couch for over 2 months and his brother sleeping here every other weekend as well and an ex wife that has no respect for the rest of us living here and doesn't mind ringing the doorbell at 7am Mon-Fri and or passing judgement on you for not being up and dressed at 10am on a Saturday cause you had a few drinks the night before!!!! Oh and also can't respect who owns what food just eats it all and then gets pissed off when you call him on it!!!

A taxi driver who only lived here until he had enough money to put a deposit on a house meaning that he didn't own any food, milk, tea, coffee, washing powder, etc and expected us all to provide him with the above!

So people of AH make me feel better about my share house and tell me about your experiences!!!

Why didn't you report all this to the landlord?

A past room mate of mine fecked a full can of hair spray into the fire and blow out every door and window in the place.

I would if I thought it was worth the hassle, the taxi driver has moved out and I've decided that I'm gettin out of here in 2 months!!!

Just outta interest what do you think the landlord would do about it?

Why wouldn't it be worth the hassle? If you don't like the situation, then why put up with it

Well if you've let out rooms to two or three people, and you find out that theres a heap of people staying there rent free, then why the hell wouldn't he be pissed off :S

Are the bills split monthly / bi-monthly also? I think you'll find you're paying for his free-loaders bills too, if that is the case.

Oh he has told us that he will cover the free loaders share of bills. The only thing the landlord can do is get pissed off about the free loaders but thats not the worst part, its the stealing of food and then snapping at me when I question him about it, and the landlord can't do **** all about that really!!!

The guy living there said that? I highly doubt it. how do you decipher who owes how much in that case? :S

I'd only buy enough perishables to do me on a day to day basis till this gets sorted. Keep the rest in your room, locked up.

But tell the landlord about the free-loaders, its the only way your stuff is gonna stop getting nicked

I'm glad I live alone. Just me, my TV, my comfy couch and my bitter bitter memories.
