What's the best way of adjusting the aerial for best signal strength for all channels. Is there one channel in particular that I should look for the best signal strength and then the rest should be fine:confused:

On some I get 96-98% others can be down in the 20-30's

Using this type of aerial in the attic

You only really want one UHF channel atm, for mux1; which transmitter is best at your location?

I don't mean channel as such but which station signal, eg tg4 tv3 do I use as a guide for best all round signal strength or should everyone of them come in at 90% +

I believe you are in Waterford City, are you attempting to pick up the Mt Leinster analogue channels with that aerial in the attic?

If so, you require 2 aerial for Mt Leinster VHF and UHF (Group A red tip), are the channels with weak reception RTÉ1 & 2?

Waterford city has its own DTT transmitter UHF 22 (Group A red tip aerial) but no analogue from there, all Saorview channels are carried on the one UHF frequency/multiplex.

All channels from the Waterford city transmitter are carried on the one UHF channel/multiplex so the signal strength/signal quality will be the same for all channels. Check the receivers strength/signal quality meter if present.

Are you picking up another multiplex from another transmitter with that aerial? The channels with the 20-30% signal strength you mention in your first post could be from Mt Leinster maybe.

Didn't know I should get the same signal strength for all channels tnx.

I'm using the Ferguson Arivia 120 box btw and its signal levels.

ooooooh dear, I was going by the yellow frequency bar instead of the two signal level indicators.

Have over 90% signal levels on all stations so thats that sorted.
