Irish courts and hair follicle testing

    Hello all,

I'm new to this forum so i hope i'm posting in the right section and am not breaking any rules doing so. Anyway, the query i have is around Hair Follice Drug Testing and the Irish courts.
I'm currently in a custody/access battle with my ex-partner (we never married) for our young daughter. The crux of the situation is, i left the family home bexcause of her continued drug use, police coming to the door, dealers at the house etc.
Then all hell broke loose. I'm due in court soon regarding access/custody of my young child. My question is, can my solicitor request a hair follicle drug test to be carried out as i don't believe for one minute that she is "clean".
I'm not looking for legal advice, i'm just enquiring as to

    A. Can the Court Order It.
    B. Is it admissable under current Irish family law.

The reason i'm looking for hair follicle testing is because of it's accuracy and the fact that normal urine tests can be easily gotten around.

Any help/direction would be greatly appreciated.
