I know it is clear that there are spoilers in here, the info this week is particularly spoiler-y :D So thought it would be best to put tags on until the episode airs.
As Bill and Marnie brace for a dangerous midnight faceoff, Sookie and Eric pledge their allegiance to the King. Jason is torn between friendship and passion, and Jessica is spurned from two homes; Lafayette becomes the pawn of a tormented spirit; Tommy takes a walk in someone else's shoes; Sam contends with yet another adversary in Marcus, Luna's ex and the leader of Alcide's new pack.

Written by Daniel Minahan and directed by Alan Ball

    Jessica lives! \o/

Sometimes I both love and hate spoilers.

Looks like it's going to be a great episode!

I resisted the urge to look at the spoilers..... I am fantastic :D;):D

I suppose they will be an interesting stand off between Tara and Lafayette at some point.

Well SookEric fans it seems the "shower scene" is in this episode

Another strong episode. Although I think Ball is pouring on the sweetness with Eric and Sookie way too much so we want bad Eric back!!

We got to see Ghost lady's back story and now she's in Lafayette!

I wish we could see more of Sookie's fairy power in action. I hope that's what eventually takes Marnie/Antonia out. Although, not yet. I'm loving her at the moment. Fiona Shaw is an amazing actress!

And what will she do with Eric???

Poor Jess having her invitation rescinded twice in one night. I always love how they back out the door!! But at least she was saved (as if there was any doubt!)

It's shaping up for a good Finale.

Pretty good episode. Nice to see Sookie finally do something.
Shower scene was tastefully done, the snow thing is weird (and new AFAIK)... a combo of Sookie's blood and Erics makes them both hallucinate?

It's unfortunate that this season's episodes have all been fairly slow for the first 45 mins and then it's all exciting for the last 10 and then make us wait for next week :(

Also, I never understand this shifter thing. Say the warewolf wants to fight Sam, why doesn't Sam just shift into a lion or something and kill the wolf?

Damn this having to wait thing :(

It had a great ending but it just feels they take far too long to get on with plotlines. The whole Eric and Sookie hallucination was rubbish,I couldn't give a toss about any of it,ye we get it,she likes Eric now, blah blah.

The fight at the end was great,Eric just went ahead and completely destroyed one of the witches! Also loved Pam saying how lame it was that she couldn't kill Tara,we all agree Pam! Wonder what Marnie will do with Eric, use him as a weapon perhaps?

Epic end to the episode :D Just cannot wait to see what happens next. I'd say the most part will be the vampires trying to get away from the witches before the sun comes up. That ending made it the best episode of the season for me anyway.

This side story with Lafayette is pretty interesting too! Looking forward to seeing what happens there.

The love between Sookie and Eric is starting to seem really genuine. But I still think there is something real between her and the werewolf whose name I can never remember.

Did the Eric/Sookie scenes remind anyone else of the Ron/Veronica unicorn and rainbow scenes in Anchorman?

Great episode in general, I roared laughing at Maxine/Tommy adjusting her boobs on the way to the table in Merlottes. Really enjoying Bill as the King, even though I thought it wasn't a great idea at first. It's definitely giving Stephen Moyer the chance to show other sides to Bill's character.

Poor Jessica, she's such a great character, I wonder where Alan Ball is going with her storyline?

Great episode, but I'm getting very tired of these cliffhanger endings!

Yes! it was dumb. I'm getting bored with loved up Eric, he is too much of a dweeb, and his acting seems clumsy or something. Sex scenes with Sookie are the most tepid I have ever seen in True Blood. I want Bad Eric back.

The actress who plays Marnie is excellent. I hope Tara picks up a few tips on how to act.

Lafyette - liking the medium angle, but what happened to Hey-soos? One minute they were asking Grandad how to sort out the vamps in mexico, (or wherever) then Lafyette is back at work and hanging out with baby? Did he leave his boyfriend there?

    Moar Pam!

    Less Tommy. Whiney git.

In fairness he ripped some girl's head off and was then seen devouring another human, hardly a dweeb! But I do agree the stuff with Sookie is getting boring.

I think knowing that Anna Paquin and Stephen Moyer are married in real life has spoiled the Eric/Sookie scenes for me.

Anyone got a working link for this weeks episode? I usually use Megavideo but can't find any working ones :(

    Thanks

I laughed out loud at the Sookie and Eric scenes. Well it wasn't so much of a laugh as a derisive snort. Just a little too much sunshine and lollipops perhaps? You know the way sometimes when you see two people you've wanted to get together actually get together on screen and you think "OH YEAH BB, HERE WE GO!"? Well this ep it was more like "NEEDZ MOAR BAD BOY." For me personally all the chemistry ASkars and Anna had lost its sizzle when Eric lost his memory.

Apart from that I really enjoyed the episode. Looks like Sookie gets a trip to the hospital, Bill is incapacitated by more silver and Eric becomes Antonia's new pet. So the only person available to tend to the Sook is Alcide. Debbie's not going to like that. Although in fairness to her he did promise to stay away. He looked pretty resolute too, and then all of a sudden he was banging down Sookie's door. Oh Alcide, will you ever learn.

Really enjoyed this episode, but kind of over amnesiac Eric and want Bad Eric back. I miss his scenes with Pam.

I really hope they build on the Jess and Jason storyline...

And somebody please, anybody, I don't care who .... KILL TARA!

I haven't seen this particular episode yet but I would assume the clumsiness is on purpose. Like the Eric of this season is supposed to be the polar opposite to the Eric we all knew before, who was always so confident and self-assured. If he seemed too cocky and confident and if the sex scenes were too.....sexy (:pac:) then this new Eric wouldn't seem as convincing.

That's just my opinion though. And as I said I haven't seen this episode yet so there might well be some dodgy acting. (I'd be surprised though; Skarsgard is one of the best actors in the show imo.)

EDIT: Just watched the episode there and I still don't see the problem, really. Although a lot of people seem to dislike Anna Paquin too whereas I think she's a great actress. Actually, I don't think I've ever been disappointed with the acting in True Blood. I'm just easily pleased I guess. :pac:

Brilliant end to that episode. And Pam's "This is so fúcking lame" is a candidate for best moment of the series; just the way she says it is fantastic. :D Also like how the evil baby storyline is finally going somewhere; I didn't think Lafayette would end up involved in it but it's certainly seems like less of a stupid plot now than it did a few weeks ago.

This was the best episode of the season so far, I was riveted. Thougt last week's was great, but this was even better.

I thought there was a great mix of drama and comedy and surprises.

Loved every scene with Jessica - her killing-Hoyt dream made me jump, brilliantly done. I love how Jason took the high road and sent her away (though I wonder how long it'll be before he cracks ;)) Hoyt was a bit harsh, but I suppose his little heart was breaking.

Thought Bill was brilliant in this episode as well, I'm liking him more and more as the weeks go on.

I was so thrilled when I thought Pam was going to kill Tara - loved her saying "this is so f--king lame" when Bill stopped her.

Creepy Cajun Ghost Lady posessing Lafayette was SOOOO well done, that actor is brilliant.

Two laugh out loud moments - Erik swearing in Swedish when Sookie ripped the chains off, and Andy being tempted by the vamp roadkill and saying "Jesus tits God America, Jason".

I totally agree about the Sookie/Erik love scene in the snow, what the bleedin hell was that?! I was snorting in derision when they skipped over to the bed, and as someone else has said above, the dialogue was like the "do me on the rainbow!" love scene from Anchorman. But I STILL love them together, I loved the blood bond scene and am intrigued to see how that will affect them both once Real Erik comes back (which had better be soon. His body is so gorgeous but the Amnesia Erik personality is starting to annoy me big time).

LOVED the cemetary battle scene, biggest holy-crap moment of the week was Erik yanking that girl's heart out - why did he do it?? Thought the vamps lost the moral high ground by making the first strike (hmmm, am I overthinking this?)

    Bring on next week!

the sookie and eric snow scene reminded me of most of this

I'm loving the series but Sookie's constant mincing about on her tippy toes with her chest thrust skywards is really wearing thin at this stage !!!!!

Every time she does it my missus does a brilliant impression of her and it really is ridiculous the way Sookie minces about !
