Passat 1.9 TDI Oil Sump Leaking..

    Guys,

    I have just noticed Oil Sump Leaking on my Passat 1.9 TDI..it's very minor leakage it seems as i have noticed tiny spots underneath my parked car. Could someone suggest fix, cost,..etc.?

    are you sure its the sump? some diesel heads weep oil

    find the leak

    and keep an eye on oil levels till you do

    Mine is currently leaking also.

    Did you have it serviced recently?

    My money is on the sump filler plug. I bet it's been replaced incorrectly and will have to be drilled out and retreaded. Same as mine, not serious but keep an eye on the levels

    Yes..Just got car serviced last week and this has started. Went to same garage and mechanic said its oil sump leaking..so just need second opinion or thoughts as well..

    Are you ruling out an oil spill when she was serviced? Had this issue on my TDI went rooting and found a lot of oil in the intercooler. This was my leak.
