Will my first payment be backdated?

Hi all, I applied in Cork on July 4th, but wasn't able to submit my P45 until August 1st. Got a letter today saying my first payment will be tomorrow. I'm wondering will it be backdated from July 4th or will I get one weeks payment or what? Thanks :)
