Youtube abuse problem

A few days ago i came across a video on youtube ridiculing a game thats coming out in a few months that i;m looking forward too. So i got into a bit of discussion about it nothing too bad really. I defeated most of the users arguments about it basically because its still in early development and it was a pretty good back and forth in the comments section. After defeating his last argument he banned me from commenting out of no where out of the blue and messaged me calling me a troll and thats why he banned me. (apparently he only thought i was a troll after a 36 comment discussion) This ticked me off so i sent him back a message calling him a troll and saying that i was glad i reported one of his videos for copyright infringement (i wouldn't usually do that but what he did was copy a reviewer who i like's video and put annotations all over it calling the reviewer gay and all sorts of nasty stuff so i informed the reviewer) in retrospect not my smartest move. Since then i have got nothing but abuse from him to the extent that this morning he put up a video on youtube again with annotations accusing me of being paid by the reviewer to put negative replies on his page and insulting me in many ways. He also contacted me saying he was in the process of editing videos taken of my page (which i own full copyright too or have permission from the owner in one case) he also said that if i report them he will post them again under a new username as well as threatening me with physical violence. I'm well aware that this is most probably a teenage troll but he has ticked me off no end and i don't just want to run away from the problem.

Does anyone have any ideas on how i could sort this out?

Personally I'd just ignore it and forget it. Be the bigger person. It'll go away, die down and be forgotten soon enough. People like that online are best ignored.

if he hadn't made videos ridiculing me i would a agree but it really has hit a nerve with me now.

By keeping it going you're keeping the spot light on the vids you hate so much. Things like this get forgotten very quickly on the internet unless you persist in drawing attention to them. Put it behind you and move on. Let the other guy wallow in his frustration. Dont feed such trolls with attention. Thats what they love most.

Take our advice just ignore it. You're really giving this person more power than they're worth and linking is not going to do you any favours.

I mean i haven't put any comments on them and i'm pretty sure that anyone that looks at those videos doesn't think that i'm the one who's the dickhead now do they?

yea i'm not going to worry unless he goes through with his threat of putting up an edited version of my video. I'm what u would call an amateur photographer and i do get photos published. I have a hatred for people who breach copyright and if photos of mine go on his page from videos i have put up then ill try take it as far as i can. even if its just getting his isp banned from youtube

Sounds like an awful lot of wasted time and energy. Be sure to let us know how you get on.

You could just report him to Youtube for abuse and threatening behaviour. Being abusive and threatening people with physical violence is an offence in most countries and he's probably not smart enough to evade google and youtube they probably know exactly who he is.

You could get the la involved if you wanted to.
