how did the breeding season go?

    uncle scanned there dis morn 25 heifers and 60 cows, all heifers incalf and 48 cows turned up incalf, 12 showing not over 28 days so 3 or 4 more wil turn up incalf hopefully as bull only took away on sat. he v happy with de results best in 15 yr:D:D:D:D:D

    Sorry for my ignorance but why scan now, is it better to wait until 30-35 days after the bull comes out, interested in why he scanned at this time.

    bull out 16 days, only seen 2 bulling so far, no a very good indicator but gives an idea.

    as the funny lad said, little or no point scanning at this time of the year. if the bull is out there is little point treating pd-.
    they can scan down to 24 day but not very accurate and they probably wont stand over their findings. 28 + days normally.

    hopefully scan first week in sept here.
