Can any combo boxes be controlled by Sky remote eye?

Hi,

I currently have sky and want to cancel and get a new DTV/Sat combo box.

My current setup is that i have Sky+ box in sittingroom feeding via RF 2 output up to attic distribution amp (with sky eye pass through) and then this feeds off to master bedroom, guest room, kitchen and another room which all each have a sky eye to control the sky+ box. Hence i can change sky channel from any room as long as i have the remote with me.

Once i replace this sky+ box.... would there be any combo box on the market which can be controlled this way from each room via these sky eyes?

I Don't know, but you could keep the sky box and continue to distribute the signals through the house .
you wouldn't even have to watch the same thing as the main tv with the new combo box.

Want to just replace the sky box completely so thats not an option.

Also want to be able to control whatever new combo box i get from any room that has a tv linked to it as stated.

Any reason this couldnt be used with my current SLX 8 way distribution amp (with voltage pass through built in) and 4 or 5 other sky eyes located around the various rooms?

and also, is it just a case of putting the ir in front or the combo box like the old days of signal senders?
