Sorry ,I know it's sunday and people may be eating.
But do people ever worry if the ice cream van driver picks his nose ,before he makes your cornette ?

Think twice before you order any food with home delivery :)

Never worry about anything foodwise.. If it doesn't make me sick, I don't care about who or what has touched it.

I always wipe the cans I get delivered with meals ,just in case the driver has itchy balls :D

As well as the ball and arse scratching ,farting, eating boogers and I was told that if the ice cream maker was not cleaned out every night, there's a possibility of getting real sick from the ice cream

Unless eating Cornettes, whatever they maybe, makes up 80% of your diet I would think you have little to worry about.

I never eat them ,but often wonder about the steering wheel in an ice cream van. I'm sure it's a grand oul concoxion :)

TBQH ,i made a balls of the spelling. It should probably read cornet ,I just googled cornette and its a nuns hat.
No chance of the ice cream man handing out one of those.

My ma used to never let us have ice cream from the ice cream man, saying "there's no toilet there, he probly has pissy hands"

A cornet is a brass instrument very similar to the trumpet.
    You put ice-cream in this?

The guy who comes round here puts on plastic gloves before he fills the ice cream. As does any person who handles food preparation. Can't say anything about delivery men. Though if they're on a bike they're usually still wearing thick biking gloves when they come to the door, only taking them off if they have to handle change.

its not only nose picking that would worry me about ice cream men, its the fact they scratch their balls/arse that worse. and that they probably arent filing tax returns

Back in the 90's in the area where I live, this man had his ice-cream van taken away by the health and safety people. Apparently he was a really bitter and angry man and he hated kids so he was putting his dog's poo in the ice-cream maker machine. My mam stopped buying us ice cream out of the vans after that. A few years afterwards the same man got a job doing deliveries for our local chipper. My mam stopped ordering food out of there because she figured that if he messed with the ice-cream, he was probably doing something to the chipper food too.

"there's no toilet there, he probly has pissy hands" your mam had a point.

I remember when I was a child and getting really sick after eating ice-cream from a ice-cream van, had to go to hospital. Put me off for life.

There is this van who comes around our estate about 7.30-8.00pm every night, I just tell the kids the ice-cream is old and sitting in the machine for days and could make your tummy a bit funny. There are only 2 and 5 so its no questions asked at this stage

That's shocking.. What had him so mad with kids to do that?

He hated the way his life turned out and he was suffering with depression and one day he just snapped and went mental. In fact I heard Harry did end up in a psychiatric hospital for a while after he got caught.

Don't know about you chaps but when're I hear the strange distant haunting medley of Candy Man or that, I instantly think PEDO!!!

I would be more concerned about the ice cream man not washing his hands after taking a cr*ap or a pi*ssn secretly in a bucket or bottle while on his rounds.

As kids my ma would never deal with these people unless they used disposable gloves or paper between each purchase.

'cornettes' or Cornetto's are wrapped in paper and made in a factory. The 99s are handled with a napkin on the cone, so no. Plus their hands would be dirtier after handling the money than picking their schnozzes.
