Hi all, I was given a inspiron 6000 laptop with a cracked screen as it been thrown out. Just wondering is it worth repairing with a ebay screen and giving it to a friend or is there any value with a broken laptop to someone looking for parts etc It has a 1.7 processor. Regards, Kmb

6000 probably needs more RAM to cope with XP Service Pack 3 so all your friend would have to pay for is the extra RAM if you are paying for the screen
