Looking at 2012 and most likely a HIM.. Either branded or not.
What races do people recommend? Looking at Liboa, Swiss HIM, or maye Challenge Barca.

Anyone on here raced these or any other races I should stick on the list.

Lisboa is a nice one. Don't know the rest to be honest.

Alot of good HIMs in the UK too. LCD has done a goo few over there. You could PM him about them.

Yeah lovely fast course, nice roads and easy/cheap to get to.

Its a bit longer then a HIM but the alpe d'huez tri is fantastic. Swim is in crystal clear mountain lake, bike is 115km on perfectly smooth roads with great view the whole way (it only has 3 "hills" too). And the run is in an alpine medow with about 50% off road...

The big seller for this race is the organisation... colour coded cycling bottles on the bike, all the food you could dream of, lots of marchels, well planned course...

Yes it's a very tough course but the sence of achivement when you finish it is amazing. When I finished it all I could think was "I'm never doing it again" and then as soon as I got home I started checking to see when next years entries open... I dont think I've ever felt like that with a "flat" tri...

Kind of ruling out Barca due to temp... Heard it got quite hot there last year? Open to correction... Lisboa - not sure, hear the course is very boring? Nothing to distract you? So really looking to Zurich I think?

Anyone able to offer more info on any of the mentioned races or others at similar time?
