I've my first 10k run tomorrow, it kicks off at 10:30am, I normally run in the evenings, should I get up extra early to prepare for it like 6am or something.? What should I eat tonight? someone said pasta would be good, and just my normal porridge in the morning.

Its only 6 miles buddy. No need to do anything out of the ordinary. Just do what you normally do with a short warm up and enjoy. Good luck.

Yeah, don't do anything out of the ordinary. No extras needed. Stay loose, let us know you get on.

Don't eat anything you normally wouldn't. An early night is advisable. Get up early enough to get to the race start in time and for a small jog to warmup. Don't eat a 'big' breakfast. Porridge, toast, tea/coffee about 2hrs before start.
Layout your race clothes/race number/pins, etc. tonight.
Don't get carried away over the first half of your race, very easy mistake to make, just relax and ease into your pace.
    Finally enjoy and good luck.;)

As they said, no need to do anything different from your normal training runs.

But if you normally only roll out of bed and eat breakfast at 10am on a Sunday it might be an idea to get up earlier. :)

enjoyed it, started the day with a bowl of porridge, and a 1/4 cup of coffee, race was the 10k in bray, I started at the very back of the race and ended up finishing with a time of 1hr 10min which im happy with, never ran on roads before (mainly dirt tracks and loop walks as im from a rural location) .

Well done on your first 10k, a great achievement. I hope to complete my first this month also. Congrats.
