    Hi

I'm going on a day trip to Rygge airport in Norway with Ryanair on Tuesday, and am planning on visiting either Moss, Fredrikstad or Halden.

Just wondering would anyone know which of them might be the most interesting of the 3 to visit - Its just a few hours I'll have there in between the flight in and out, so hoping to see some scenery and do some walks/hikes.

Has anyone been to any of them and know what are the 3 possible towns like ?

Also - would anyone know the time I should allow or getting to and from each of them ?

Thanks for any suggestions / advice, Mike :)

Moss seems to be the more interesting of the three places you mentioned judging by some of the tourist leaflets I flicked through in Rygge Airport last month. I think the declaration of independence from Sweden was signed there and there are big celebrations planned to mark this either next year or the year after.

Its also probably the easiest to get to with a more regular bus service from the airport.

If you need Norwegian Kroner, get it before you go as there is no foreign exchange in Rygge Airport, and such facilities in Norway charge a fortune anyway.

The passenger terminal in Rygge is brand new and functional, but only offers basic facilities. A small, shop and coffee shop landside, small bar and duty free airside. And like everywhere else in Norway, its bloody expensive. Nothing wrong with the place apart from that, but I'd hate to be waiting for a delayed flight there for any length of time.

    Enjoy your day out !
