    Hi guys

Apparently there's a great chance of seeing the aurora tonight as it has reached the level 'storm'

Hearing reports of it being as far south as North Wales and Cheshire so anyone north of Dublin should have a great chance

Iv got cloud cover here in Waterford so stand no chance

    Clear skies

    Matt

Me and my cousin saw something in the sky tonight when we were down the east pier in Dun Laoghaire fishing. We saw it at around 9:30pm. It was high up in the sky maybe two miles away from us over Dun Laoghaire and stretching to Monkstown. 2 Miles away but stretched around a mile wide. It was a bright flash, bronze colour but it we didn't hear any thunder and the wind was blowing in our direction. Wasn't from the ground so definitely wasn't a firework or anything of the sort or any type of aircraft. Could it have been this aurora? Was only there for literally 1 second. We looked at eachother straight away not knowing what it was. It wasn't lightning because there was no thunder. Anyone know if it was an aurora or anyone else see it?

I am no expert on anything astronomy but i was just out walking the dog and at 0026hrs the sky above me lit up brightly.

I looked up and saw a large trail of white light like a big fireball with a tail and it was going across from approximately South to North.

It came apart and dispersed like a firework but much too big for a firework.

This was a truely amazing sight and will stick in my memory forever.

Hope someone else had the privelage to see it.
